Bedford School Lofts
Loft For Sale
The Bedford School is a three-story brick schoolhouse. The
school was built in 1850 in an area of the city formerly known as Birmingham. In
1872, the city of Pittsburgh annexed Birmingham and this area became, what is now known
as, the South Side.
The Bedford School was converted into eight loft-style condominiums
in 1998. The school retains all of its charm including the original tin ceilings, maple
floors, brass lights, slate stairs, exposed brick walls, 16-foot ceiling heights, and
large windows.
The available loft is located on the top floor and it has a
beautiful view of downtown Pittsburgh. The Bedford School Lofts are located on Bingham
Street, just off 10th, in the South Side. The building is an easy 15-minute walk from
downtown and one block away from Carson Street.
